Wine Bird Houses has been in business since 1992.  Helena Rozo started her business by chance.  At the time she was a buyer for Filene's Basement and after a back injury and surgery she decided to take a medical leave of absence.  While recuperating in her home country of Columbia, South America she decided to follow her dreams and start her own business.  She brought back to Boston, $200 worth of samples and exhibited at the Boston Gift Show.  She realized at that time that 80% of her orders came from three ceramic wind chimes, so she decided to expand this line and design chimes to suit the American market.  Designing is natural to Helena since she grew up surrounded by her mother's wholesale leather and clothing business.  Helena paid part of her college education modifying her mother's clothing to meet fashion trends in the U.S. and selling her designs to exclusive boutiques in Boston and New York City.

Helena was very successful with the wind chime line and in 1997 she sold 20,000 pieces of one design on QVC.  Two years later as Rosso's International grew and South America could no longer meet her demand, she transferred the manufacturing to China.  In the last fifteen years she has focused on designing products that represent a good value.  Her manufacturer's call her the "Champagne Lady" because they say that she wants Champagne on a beer budget.  They understand her vision and realize that in order to be competitive, they have to work closely together to develop unique products that represent a good value.  In 1998 Helena  developed a fascinating line of motorized historical airplanes and hot air balloons.  Her models were sold in Air and Space Museums around the country as well as Hobby and Gifts Shops.  In December of 2003 her airplane reproductions were exhibited at the Presidential celebration of the Wright Brothers 100th year anniversary of flight.

In 2004, Wine Bird Houses found a new opportunity in the Lawn and Garden industry and this birding and outdoor line was introducted.  Helena's "signature bracket" has been a hit since it allows bird lovers to unmount the birdhouse for cleaning in a matter of seconds without the need of a screwdriver.  Practicality, detail and value make this line unique among the rest.  In January 2005, Rosso's International opened a showroom at "The Gardens" in Americasmart, Atlanta.  Wine Bird Houses has the capacity to design private label designs and to customize any of their designs with it's own copper-plated plaques.
